On June 28, 2013, Ambassador Lee Emil Wanta  sent the following information to the Department of Justice.  Please note the official signatures from the Treasury Department approving the expenses submitted by Frank B. Ingram (SA-32-NV).  What does an expense voucher dated July 8, 1988, have to do with violations of the Boland Amendment in 2013?

 

Please read Category 7 on the July 8, 1988 form sent to the Department of Justice.  “Information relative to persons involved in conspiracy to illegally export war materials in violations of the Arms Export Administrations Act and Neutrality Act.”  Please note that a Case Number was assigned to this submitted 1988 data.  That is the way such complaints are supposed to be handled by the Department of Justice – a Case Number should be assigned and an investigation should be commenced.

One June 28, 2013 information was sent to the Department of Justice regarding current violations of the Boland Amendment that involve the Office of the Vice President of the United States.  The arms violations are continuing to this day – from Benghazi to Syria.  Wanta requested a Judicial Review as part of an ongoing investigation.

Here is the email response from the Department of Justice to Ambassador Wanta:  As you look at this response, remember this:  First, an ongoing investigation for a violation of law cannot be closed and when an investigation is requested that involves Boland Amendment violations involving existing ongoing investigations the Department of Justice responds with an unsigned letter stating that the “Investigations Division of the Office of the Inspector General has thoroughly reviewed the material and concluded that the issues raised to not warrant an investigation by this office.”

 

So… today’s Department of Justice doesn’t assign a case number to a claim of violation of the Boland Amendment (regarding Iran Contra and other situations in which arms are still being shipped into the Middle East and it is less than a year after Benghazi (re which the possibility of illegal arms shipments to Middle Eastern Nations has been suggested as a reason for four dead Americans, including an American Ambassador). We are just a little over a month from 9/11/2013 – AND ERIC HOLDER’S DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE WON’T EVEN ASSIGN A CASE NUMBER AND INVESTIGATE THE CHARGES MADE BY SOMEONE WHO WAS INVOLVED IN IRAN CONTRA?  INSTEAD, HOLDER’S DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE RESPONDS WITH AN UNSIGNED LETTER WITH NO CASE NUMBER.  IT IS NOT ONLY IRRESPONSIBLE IN LIGHT OF CURRENT EVENTS – IT IS EVIDENCE OF VERY SLOPPY WORK.
